The Lady Raiders finish in seventh place the second-best finish in school history

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech senior Sally Kipyego ran into the NCCA history books in Terre Haute, Ind. as she became the first female in NCAA history to win three NCAA Cross Country Championships.

Kipyego ran the 6K course in a time of 19:29, which is the fastest time she has ran on the course. It is the eighth overall NCAA title for Kipyego in her amazing career and caps and undefeated career and her third-straight title in cross country. Kiypego finishes her cross country career as the most decorated female student-athlete in NCAA cross country history.
