Amaris Tyynismaa, a senior at North Carolina State, placed 25th in the women's 6-kilometer race in 19:55.3 at the NCAA Division 1 Cross Country Championships at the Panorama Farms Course in Virginia. Tyynismaa, racing for the first time this season after recovering from injury, earned All-America cross country honors for the third time in her career, helping the Wolfpack capture a third consecutive team title with a 123-124 victory against Northern Arizona. North Carolina State became the first women's program to win three in a row since Stanford in 2005-07.
